The viral pile of garbage in front of the Albo Flats, Jalan Swadaya, RW 08, Cakung Barat Urban Village, Cakung District, East Jakarta has been completely cleaned up.

Head of Cakung District Environmental Implementation Unit, Encep Suryana, said the cleanup process had been carried out intensively over the past two days, deploying transport vehicles and heavy equipment to expedite the handling.

Encep explained that the waste collection was carried out using 22 small trucks with a capacity of five tons and four large trucks with a capacity of 10 tons. All the waste was transported to the Bantar Gebang Landfill in Bekasi, West Java.
"Mini excavators, shovel loaders and road sweeper trucks were also deployed to speed up handling," he explained.
Meanwhile, Head of Cakung Barat Urban Village, Yasir Habib Putra stated as many as 20 Public Infrastructure and Facilities Management (PPSU) officers helped handle the piles of garbage at the location.
"The waste at the Albo TPS exceeds capacity then it piles up on the road for about 100 meters," he stated.
He invited the public to sort and process waste early on so that similar conditions would not recur.
